ACCOMMODATIONS

We will be staying at I Veroni, a wine estate located outside of Florence on the hill of San Martino A Quona. Our location gives us the beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside, combined with access to Florence. The nearest village to I Veroni is Pontassieve (just over a mile down the road). Trains leave from Pontassieve for Florence throughout the day (about 4 euros each way). There is also a bus that leaves hourly. Our accommodations are cottage apartments on the property, each with 2-3 bedrooms. Bathrooms are shared. There is living space, kitchenette and patio area in each cottage. It is very comfortable and quaint. As noted above, bathrooms are shared, so please pack accordingly! There will be a change of towels once during your stay. There is no cleaning service, so you are on your own to keep your
cottage neat and tidy during the week!

FOOD

Breakfast and lunch are self-serve, not “sit-down” meals. This means that you prepare it for yourself whenever you feel the urge. There will be baked goods and a variety of lunch items available for your first day, Monday. There are several bakeries as well as a large grocery store in town where you can stock up on your favorite morning and lunch items for the week. The included group dinners will take place three nights and we will have one group dinner at the winery, as well as a farewell dinner on Friday. One night you will be on your own for dinner. There will also be plenty of wine provided throughout the week, it is a winery estate after all.
