Rental Car

Although you can fly into Flroence Itany and take the train to the villa, We recomend that everyone rent a car so that partisapents can move around freely. Most likely we will carpool once at the villa for any car travel to any locations so fi you do not wish to drive that is an option.

Visas

If you are from the U.S. or  Canada, you do not need to apply for a special visa prior to entering the European Union (EU). You will enter the EU on what is known as a Schengen visa and will be processed through at the airport of entry into the Schengen zone. (If you fly Iceland Air, you will be processed through during your layover at Reykjavík for example). For those of you who may be planning an extended stay, you have 90 days total to visit all countries in the Schengen zone.

SPENDING MONEY

Italy uses the EURO for its currency. Credit cards are taken most everywhere but small shops and boutiques may only take cash. ATMs usually provide the best exchange rate for acquiring EURO once you are in Italy.
