Journey into the southern part of Nevada where the landscape turns into something truly amazing. For years I have overlooked Nevada as a place that was not paintable, with vistas more for gamblers and tourists who would pass through Nevada to get to The Grand Canyon or Zion. I too hurried to make my fastest direct connection to other areas.

However, on my last visit to Vegas, I ventured off the gambling strip and into the desert. There I found a whole lot of subjects to paint. Turns out that Southern Nevada is diverse and beautiful. I went to a little ghost town called Nelson and got so excited that I could imagine having painting students open hours just right there painting amazing old cars, buildings, and vistas. My excitement caused me to go right up and see if I could have artists come here to paint and they said yes. WOW! Inspired, I started looking all around the landscape and it turns out that there are amazing places all over southern Nevada to paint. I invite you to explore with me this magnificent season and together we will discover the wonders and excitements as we journey into places never painted before and return with fantastic paintings for your enjoyment for years to come.
