At Olympic National Park, artist Stefan Baumann brings his audience to the northern tip of Washington in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in this episode of The Grand View. Olympic National Park features glacier-capped mountains, magnificent stands of old-growth trees, and temperate rain forest. Interviews include Native American elder Edward E. Claplandho, who brings the past alive with stories of American Indian culture and the history of his people in the lush environment, and National Park rangers Jon Preston and Michael Gurling discuss the geologic and botanical phenomena of this beautiful region. Baumann concludes with a sunrise painting of the eroded pillars of the tidal flats.
